Erges River Hike
Erges River Hike
At 9:30 am, we'll meet at the bridge of Segura, a Roman monument that connects Segura in Portugal to Alcántara in Spain. Both the Roman bridge of Segura and the Erges river act as a border between Spain and Portugal.
In this hiking route, we'll walk along the left bank of the Erges River, on the Portuguese side. We'll walk through this gorge nestled in the International Tagus Natural Park, exploring its vegetation and experiencing the tranquility of its surroundings.
We'll stop at different points along the banks of the Erges River to enjoy its landscapes while we relax with the sound of the water and the feel of the cool breeze. After enjoying this peaceful moment, we'll go to the mills to see the river water passing through these buildings.
To end the experience with a flourish, we'll have a tasting of regional cheeses.
Around 11:30 am, we'll return to the starting point to say our goodbyes.
