Seoul City Wall & Mount Inwangsan Hike
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the exit of Dongnimmun metro station and, after introductions, we'll set off on a walking tour that will allow us to explore a little-known side of Seoul. Time to tie your laces!
We'll start by walking alongside Seoul's historic city wall. Built in the 14th century to protect the city, this fortification winds its way through the mountains surrounding the South Korean capital. We'll follow its ancient walls until we reach the top of Mount Inwangsan, a rocky peak from which you'll enjoy breathtaking views.
From the top, you can see such iconic Seoul landmarks as N Seoul Tower, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Lotte Tower and even the presidential residence known as The Blue House.
Next, we'll descend into Suseongdong Valley, a natural setting that is not very touristy and is loved by locals for its tranquillity. We'll walk alongside the stream while feeling the contrast between the hustle and bustle of the city and the silence of this secret corner.
Back in the urban area, we'll venture into Seochon, one of Seoul's most traditional neighbourhoods. Its narrow alleys and hanok-style houses preserve the city's most authentic spirit.
After 4 hours in total, we'll say goodbye at Tosokchon Restaurant, very popular among locals for its samgyetang, the traditional ginseng chicken soup. If you wish, you can stay and have lunch on your own at this iconic place.
