At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the meeting point in Seoul. Once everyone’s there, we’ll board a bus to start this excursion to Suwon and a traditional Korean village. Are you ready to dive into the fascinating local culture? Let’s go!
After a 1.5-hour journey, we’ll reach our first destination of the day, a traditional village in Yongin, located in Gyeonggi Province. During the visit, which lasts 3 hours, we’ll immerse ourselves in Korean folklore and travel back in time to learn about the ancient culture of the Joseon period.
Afterward, we’ll head to Hwaseong Fortress. This Joseon dynasty king ordered its construction more than 200 years ago. Throughout the tour, we’ll walk through the different areas of this impressive complex and uncover all its secrets.
Did you know that, despite its relatively recent history, this monument was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997? During the visit, we’ll also stroll through Suwon Nammun Market, which can boast being one of the oldest in the country.
After that, you’ll have 1 hour of free time to try some local specialties at the market. You’re sure to love it!
Finally, we’ll return to the bus and begin the journey back to Seoul. We’ll drop you off at the meeting point after a total of 10 to 11 hours of excursion.
