What's Included in this Ticket to the Siena Cathedral?

With this ticket, you'll have access to all the spaces that make up the extraordinary complex of the Siena Cathedral. From the iconic Piccolomini Library to a hidden Crypt, you'll have the chance to explore the artistic and architectural treasures of this sacred place freely.

Plus, you'll have access to an interactive audio guide in English, so you won't miss any details. It's the perfect way to dive into the details of each space and learn the fascinating stories within the complex.

The Siena Duomo is one of the most important Romanesque-Gothic churches in Italy. Did you know that influential sculptors have worked in this cathedral? Inside, you can discover artworks by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano, Donatello, Miguel Ángel, and Bernini.

Beyond the temple, this ticket allows you to see other monuments in the city. Let's find out which ones!

Piccolomini Library

Initially, this place was destined to house a collection of books by Enea Silvio Piccolomini, Pope Pius II of the Catholic Church from 1458 to 1464. Let yourself be captivated by its Renaissance frescoes painted by Pinturicchio, inspired, according to legend, by drawings from a young Raphael.

Crypt

This underground area, hidden for centuries, still preserves frescoes with intense colors and emotional biblical scenes. Did you know its frescoes date back to the 13th century and its paintings depict scenes of the Old and New Testament? Discover all its details!

Museo dell'Opera

This space was created to preserve and display artworks from the Siena Cathedral that were taken down from their original site due to various reasons. Here, you can explore its rooms filled with religious sculptures and art, such as the famous original rose window in the cathedral.

Baptistery of San Giovanni

Located on the square with the same name, it was built between the years 1316 and 1325. This ticket will give you access to stroll under its decorated vaults and admire its baptismal font, a piece of art by Donatello, and other important Renaissance artists.
