Tour Details

At the selected time, we'll meet at 16 Piazza Torquato Tasso in Sorrento. Ready to set off to discover the jewels of this beautiful coastal town?

We'll stroll through the picturesque streets, learning all about the origins and history of this popular tourist destination. We'll cross the elegant Piazza Tasso square before reaching the mysterious Mill Valley or Vallone dei Mulini, one of the most fascinating places in Sorrento, where you'll hear its spooky history and why it was abandoned in 1940.

Then, we'll stop at Corso Italia, a place filled with shops, picturesque cafés, and local life. Our tour will continue toward the Sorrento Cathedral, dedicated to the saints Felipe and Santiago. Its somber facade contrasts with its interior, inspired by the late Baroque, where the coffered ceiling, polychrome marble, and several paintings from the Neapolitan school stand out.

A few steps away, we'll visit the Basilica di Sant'Antonino, one of the oldest temples in the city, built on an Early Christian oratory deeply linked to the spiritual and maritime identity of Sorrento.

Afterward, we'll head to the Convent of San Francesco, where the beautiful patios, filled with peace and tranquility, will amaze you. Next to this site, the Villa Comunale opens like a natural balcony over the Bay of Naples, offering a wide scenic view of the coastline, with the Vesuvius framing the horizon of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

During the tour, we'll also dive into one of the most iconic artisanal traditions in the city, the Sorrentine marquetry. We'll also visit a local workshop or gallery to discover this decorative technique dating back to the 19th century.

Our last stop is at the Marina Grande port, where you'll enjoy great views of the coast and learn about the local way of life for Sorrento's inhabitants. Here we'll enjoy an orange and lemon juice or ice cream. What a way to end the tour!

The tour will end back at this last spot after 2.5 hours.
