Pantálica Nature Reserve Hike

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Pantálica Lato Sortino car park, and from there, we'll begin this hike around the Pantálica Nature Reserve. Ready to hike? Say no more!

We'll begin the hike within the nature reserve, that's located among the Calcinara and the Anapo Rivers. Characterised by deep gorges, Pantálica also boasts important archaeological sites dating back to the 13th century BC. Did you know that this location has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO?

We'll walk along the old excavated tombs in the rock and see inside of one of the most imposing caves that will leave you stunned, the Grotta dei Pistrelli. In addition, we'll dive into the fresh waters of the Calcinara River.

After taking a dip, we'll walk upstream through the water and then take a break on the shore. Time to recharge our batteries! Here, you'll be able to enjoy a small snack that you'll have brought with you.

After 4 hours together, we'll bring this hike around the Pantálica Nature Reserve to an end back at the starting point.
