The museum covers a space of 2500 m² (26,910 ft²). Throughout its galleries, you’ll discover photography exhibitions by different artists that change over time. Beyond its temporary exhibitions, Fotografiska offers a full journey into the world of photography: educational talks on the subject, guided tours, and even workshops for enthusiasts.
In addition, it’s located in a privileged spot on the Stadsgården quay, where the Baltic Sea meets the center of the Swedish capital. The incredible views will also win you over! Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop, where you’ll find a wide variety of photographic art, books, and souvenirs.

Lebohang Kganye
March 6 to October 18, 2026. This exhibition explores how photography can be used as a tool of imagination, breathing life into memories and collective storytelling. The storyteller in question? Lebohang Kganye with "Le Sale ka Kgotso."
Lotta Antonsson
April 25 to November 29, 2026. Lotta Antonsson is one of Sweden's most prominent contemporary photographers. The temporary exhibition "I Am Everything" explores themes of gender, identity, and objectification in a world that is distinctly and evocatively her own.
Martin Parr
May 22 to September 27, 2026. "Short & Sweet" brings together nearly 400 works spanning over 50 years of Martin Parr's career, offering a comprehensive retrospective of his witty, satirical, and incisive approach to documenting social realities.
The Machine's Eye in Human Hands
From May 8 to November 29, 2026. This exhibition brings together 8 artists who explore the use of AI in contemporary image-making in completely different ways. In The Machine's Eye in Human Hands, you'll see a truly striking exhibition that invites reflection from start to finish.
