Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll begin the free walking tour of Syracuse next to the A'Surgiva restaurant. From here, we'll make our way to the majestic Temple of Apollo, an archaeological gem dating back to the 6th century BC. We'll take a close look at what remains of its columns, which still stand as silent witnesses to Syracuse's glorious past.

Next, we'll head to the romantic Fountain of Diana, a place where mythology intertwines with the beauty of Renaissance art. What stories lie behind this beautiful fountain? We'll tell you all about them!

Our next stop takes us to the lively Piazza Duomo, the true heart of the city, where we'll admire the breathtaking Baroque architecture of the Cathedral.

We'll continue to the church of Santa Lucia alla Badia, home to a masterpiece: Caravaggio's The Burial of Saint Lucy. Here, we'll share the mysteries behind this remarkable work, along with fascinating facts about the Italian painter himself.

From there, we'll visit the Fountain of Arethusa, a natural wonder that has captivated visitors for centuries. It's an icon of Syracuse! Do you know what connection it has to Greek mythology?

Our final stop will take us to the Jewish Quarter, a corner of Syracuse steeped in history and culture. Before we say our goodbyes, we'll have time to wander through its narrow streets.

After 2 hours, our free walking tour will come to an end in this part of Syracuse.
