Aurora was a superb guide. Vast knowledge shared in an interesting and entertaining manner. She inquired as to our areas of interest and tailored the tour accordingly. This was in no way “a canned tour” or an excuse for the guide to tell us everything he/she knew. Our time with Aurora exceeded our expectations, was most informative and a delight. And her English is excellent.
Overall we enjoyed the canoeing experience, we wish we knew ahead of time about the challenges of canoeing when the river level is low, as it was today. We got stuck in the rocks a couple of times and had a hard time getting moving again. We ended up jumping into the river to free up our canoe. On a positive note, because we were there in September, during low season, we had the river to ourselves. Made for a peaceful time on the water. The staff was friendly and approachable.
