Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Tokyo Station, specifically at the Marunouchi Exit. From here, we'll walk a few minutes to our first stop: the Imperial Palace

We'll step into the tranquil world of the Imperial Palace, the official residence of Japan's Emperor and the former site of Edo Castle. Here, we'll wander through the meticulously kept East Garden, where elegant stone walls, moats, and ancient gates recall centuries of samurai history. We'll also admire the famous Nijubashi Bridge, one of Tokyo's most photographed landmarks, offering postcard-perfect views of the palace grounds.

Next, we'll leave the modern cityscape behind as we hop aboard a train that will take us to Harajuku in just 25 minutes. Upon arrival, we'll head to the peaceful grounds of the Meiji Shrine. Surrounded by a lush man-made forest of over 100,000 trees, this sacred site is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. We'll pass under the towering wooden torii gate and stroll along shaded paths as we take in the tranquil atmosphere of this spiritual retreat in the heart of Tokyo.

Afterwards, we'll take some more time to explore Harajuku, the capital of youth culture and Japanese street fashion. We'll wander down the lively Takeshita Street, bursting with quirky boutiques, colourful sweet shops, and eccentric trends.

Next, we'll hop back on a train and take a 20-minute journey to Shibuya. This area is home to one of the most famous sights in the world: the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. As the lights change, watch in awe as waves of people surge across the intersection from every direction. Experience this iconic Tokyo moment yourself, and perhaps grab a photo from one of the nearby viewpoints overlooking the organised chaos below.

Finally, after a total of 4 hours, we'll bring our tour to an end in the Shibuya area.
