Chateaux de Villandry & Azay-le-Rideau Tour + Loire Winery

Join us to discover two of the most beautiful castles in the Loire Valley on this tour of Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau. We’ll also uncover the secrets of the region's famous wines. Don't miss out!

Activity Details

We’ll meet at your chosen starting point at the scheduled time to begin a fascinating journey through the Loire Valley. Ready? Let's go!

Our first stop is the Château de Azay-le-Rideau, which sits elegantly on an island in the Indre River. After admiring its stunning architecture from the outside, we’ll head indoors to explore its beautifully furnished rooms. It’s truly a sight to behold!

Next, we’ll make our way to the second castle of the day: the Château de Villandry, another masterpiece of the French Renaissance. Upon arrival, we’ll stroll through the vegetable gardens, the maze, and the water garden. We'll show you the best hidden spots for incredible views of this extraordinary estate.

Afterward, you’ll have an hour of free time to grab lunch in the area. Once you've recharged, we’ll head into the magnificent Vouvray wine region.

We’ll start at a charming family-run estate to visit the traditional vat room and the underground cellars originally excavated in the 10th century for stone quarrying and now used to age and store wine. Then, in the Amboise area, we'll discover the wide variety of wines produced here, ranging from whites and rosés to reds and sparkling wines.

Finally, we’ll head back to the starting point, concluding the tour after 9 hours of exploration.
