Activity Details
At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia and head toward National Route 3. Just a short ride from the city, we’ll arrive at the starting point of one of the most iconic trails in Tierra del Fuego. Let the adventure begin!
With your sneakers ready, we’ll begin a hike of approximately 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) along trails that cross the Andean–Patagonian forest. As we move forward, Mount Olivia and Cinco Hermanos will rise before us, reminding us that nature is in charge here. We’ll walk at a relaxed pace, with stops to hydrate, take photos, and talk about how this landscape was shaped by glaciers.
Before we know it, the green forest will open up and, almost without warning, Emerald Lagoon will appear before us. Its turquoise waters, fed by the meltwater of the Ojo del Albino Glacier, will shine with a hypnotic intensity under the morning light. We’ll take time to walk along its shores and admire the surroundings.
Afterward, we’ll head to a mountain refuge, a cozy spot in the heart of nature, where it will be time to enjoy a delicious homemade lunch. We’ll taste a selection of appetizers and a comforting mountain stew, accompanied by coffee, tea, mate, and wine. Perfect after the hike!
With renewed energy, we’ll begin the 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) return along the same trail, once again surrounded by the forests of Tierra del Fuego. Finally, we’ll reach the vehicle and return to Ushuaia, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel after a total of 6 hours of activity.

Please note that wearing special hiking shoes and waterproof clothing is mandatory, as this is essential for the proper development of the hike.
