Activity Details

Are you in Ushuaia and not sure what to do? This route is ideal for you! At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up at your hotel and begin a tour of the best of Tierra del Fuego.

This tour, carried out in a small group of a maximum of 8 people, will allow you to explore the essential sights of this area of Argentine Patagonia, famous for its spectacular mountains and lakes. On board an off-roading vehicle, we’ll leave the city of Ushuaia behind and head toward Punta Paraná.

To reach this remote point, we’ll start with a scenic route through the Carvajal and Tierra Mayor valleys, where we’ll admire the landscapes of the Andes. In this first part, we’ll make a stop at a gin distillery and visit a museum of antique motorcycles.

We’ll continue our route in the off-roading vehicle, ascending to Paso Garibaldi. Do you have your camera ready? You won’t stop photographing the Great Lakes! After crossing this famous mountain pass, we’ll enter a dense forest that will take us to Lake Fagnano. Upon arrival, we’ll get out of the off-roading vehicle and begin a walk along the Sawmill Trail until reaching the El Pampa shelter.

In this shelter, just a few meters from Lake Escondido, we’ll enjoy a brunch with typical products. Once recharged, we’ll return to the off-roading vehicle to begin the King Crab Route, the ideal moment to learn about traditional king crab fishing in the Beagle Channel. We’ll stop at the Lasifashaj River and approach the Cerro Cornú viewpoint.

The next stop will take us to Puerto Almanza to cross the river and reach Punta Paraná, a small fishing village hidden between the sea and the forest. Did you know it is one of the southernmost ports on the American continent?

At this point in the route, you’ll surely feel like taking a break. To do so, we’ll go to the Los Notros restaurant, known for its Fuegian cuisine. The meal will consist of a Patagonian lamb stew, or pumpkin soup and roasted pumpkin stuffed with vegetables and cheese baked in the oven as a vegetarian option. Both options will be served with a drink.

Once your appetite is satisfied, we’ll attend an archery class, one of the activities with the deepest cultural roots in Tierra del Fuego. It'll be incredible! During this experience, you’ll learn the basic notions of this sport and relive the spirit of the ancient peoples, perfect for connecting with Fuegian culture and nature.

After this fascinating cultural immersion, we’ll return to Ushuaia and end the tour at your hotel 9 hours later.
