Tour Details

At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia to begin the tour. Aboard an off-roading vehicle, we’ll venture into the most spectacular corners of the Isla Grande of Tierra del Fuego. An unforgettable journey at the very End of the World!

First, we’ll take you to the Carbajal Valley, a large glacier-formed depression offering unique postcard-like views of peat bogs and mountain ranges. From there, we’ll cross several ski resorts to begin the ascent to the legendary Garibaldi Pass. Built in 1956, the construction of this pass marked an important milestone in the island’s infrastructure, allowing Río Grande and Ushuaia to be connected.

Once at the top of Garibaldi, at an altitude of 450 meters (1,476 feet), we’ll stop so you can take in one of the area’s most iconic views: the panorama of Lakes Escondido and Fagnano, framed by the majestic Fuegian mountain range. Lake Fagnano is the largest in Tierra del Fuego and is part of the Corazón de la Isla Provincial Reserve. Escondido, meanwhile, is a small lagoon of glacial origin.

The route will then take us to the mysterious Victoria Lagoon, a peaceful body of water surrounded by native vegetation, where you can take beautiful souvenir photos. In this area, you may also spot beavers and observe the dams and lodges that these animals build.

The tour continues toward the coast of the Beagle Channel until we reach charming Puerto Almanza, a fishing village that has become a local culinary reference point. In this picturesque place, you’ll enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant specializing in Fuegian cuisine. Dishes usually include fresh local specialties from the channel, such as king crab, Patagonian toothfish, and mussels, accompanied by homemade sides.

After recharging, we’ll begin the return journey to Ushuaia, but not before stopping at three important sites in the region: the historic Harberton Estancia, the island’s first ranch, founded in 1886; the legendary Puerto Pirata; and Punta Paraná, where you can admire the open waters of the Beagle Channel.

Finally, we’ll end the tour at the starting point after a total of 7.5 hours.
