Tierra del Fuego Tour + Boat to Redonda Island
Tour Details
We'll kick off this adventure in the End of the World after picking you up at the designated time at your hotel in Ushuaia. From there, we'll start our journey along the Ruta Nacional 3 highway toward the Tierra del Fuego National Park, one of the most immersive natural sites in South America. Let's go!
When we reach the park, we'll start walking on a trail to admire the native flora and fauna of the region. You'll be surrounded by lenga beech and sour cherry forests as you learn about the rich history of the Indigenous villages. Our first stop will be at Lake Roca, also known as Errázuriz. Divided between Argentina and Chile, this body of water offers unforgettable views.
Close by, we'll find the Alakush Visitors Center, where we'll discover the legacy of the ancient Yahgan inhabitants of Tierra del Fuego. We'll continue strolling on the trails that lead to the end of the Ruta Nacional 3 highway at Lapataia Bay. Here, in Puerto Arias, a catamaran awaits us. We'll board this boat to reach, in just 20 minutes, Redonda Island, one of the lesser-known corners of the Beagle Channel.
Once we disembark on the island, we'll go on a hiking route in search of the former Naval Prefecture detachment, a lookout with privileged views of the channel surrounded by snowy mountains. Don't forget to take a picture!
Then, we'll hop on the boat again to return to Puerto Arias. From here, we'll head toward the Ensenada Zaratiegui.
Lastly, we'll reach the southernmost post office in the world, where you'll explore a trail with views of rock formations and the beautiful forest that extends to the sea. What a perfect way to end our tour of Tierra del Fuego!
Finally, we'll begin our journey back. After a total of 4 to 5 hours, we'll say our goodbyes at your hotel in Ushuaia.
