City of Arts and Sciences Free Tour
Tour Details
We'll meet at the indicated time in the Umbracle gardens, specifically next to the Umbracle sign, from where we'll begin our free tour of the City of Arts and Sciences. Are you ready to discover one of Valencia's most iconic landmarks?
Along the route, we'll view the main areas of this complex, designed by renowned architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, from the outside. First, we'll visit the Umbracle garden and cross the Puente de l'Assut de l'Or bridge.
This footbridge connects two of the most futuristic buildings in the complex: the Ágora, which houses the CaixaForum Valencia museum, and the Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe.
We'll continue our route, visiting the lobby of the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum, whose architecture is inspired by the skeleton of a dinosaur. Incredible, right?
We'll also admire the curious eye-shaped appearance of the Hemisfèric, which houses a 3D IMAX cinema. The next stop will be at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, home to Valencia's opera house.
Finally, after a 2-hour tour, we'll conclude the free tour at the Rosaleda Garden, where we'll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the City of Arts and Sciences.
