Contrasts of Valparaiso Tour
Contrasts of Valparaiso Tour
We will meet up at your hotel at 10:30 am to start a tour of the alternative side of Valparaiso. You will have the opportunity to discover the contrasts of the cultural and human heritage of the iconic Chilean city.
We will start with a visit to the charming, porteño style church of La Matriz, which stands in the heart of the historical center of Valparaiso. You will hear how this building is the center of humanitarian aid in the Barrio Puerto neighborhood and how this work is carried out.
To get to know the local way of life in more detail, we will head into the comedor social 421 dining hall, where we will have the opportunity to try some delicious artisan jams - a treat for the tastebuds!
During the tour, we will also visit a traditional market and one of the oldest cafeterias to get an idea of how the locals live. From there we head to Cerro Santo Domingo, the first inhabited hill in the city and from where the great contrasts of Valparaiso can be observed.
The finish in style, we will take you to the home of a local family to share a traditional lunch with them.
We bid farewell to the family and drop you back at your hotel at 3:30 pm.
