Venice Ca’ Rezzonico Palace Tickets
Ca’ Rezzonico, a Journey into the Heart of Venetian Baroque
Located in the Dorsoduro district with its façade overlooking the Grand Canal, Ca’ Rezzonico Palace isn’t just a masterpiece of architecture, but also the stage where the Venetian nobility displayed their greatest power and refinement. Initially designed by the renowned Baldassare Longhena and later completed by Giorgio Massari, the building represents the perfect transition between the Baroque style and the elegance of the 1700s.
Unlike other museums, Ca’ Rezzonico preserves an atmosphere that allows you to imagine the daily life of its illustrious residents, including Pope Clement XIII. As you walk through its three floors, you’ll discover the Museum of 18th-Century Venice, an exceptional collection that brings together paintings by masters such as Canaletto and Pietro Longhi, as well as a fascinating reconstruction of an old pharmacy from the period.
Tickets also include access to the Ballroom, a remarkably large hall decorated with trompe-l’œil works and frescoes that seem to come to life under the light of the crystal lamps. Before going up to the noble rooms, you’ll be able to admire a unique piece of Venetian transport history in the courtyard: an original gondola with a “felze,” the traditional covered cabin once used for privacy and shelter from the weather.
The self-guided visit lasts approximately 1 hour.
