Jaen is the Spanish province with the largest production of olive oil. Do you know how to distinguish its different varieties? We'll learn how to identify the different types of extra virgin olive oil at this tasting in Villacarrillo, which will take place at the designated time at Feria Street, 18.
Over the course of this olive oil tourism experience, we'll try different varieties. We'll learn how to distinguish one type from another by analysing the oil's colour, aroma, and flavour, amongst other properties.
We'll also discover the different features that characterize extra virgin olive oil, without a doubt one of the most distinguished products of Mediterranean cuisine. As a pairing, we will accompany the different oils with a selection of local products from the province of Jaen.
The tasting will culminate with a drink, where you'll get to choose between wine, beer, a soft drink, or mineral water. We'll also explain how to use oil in different recipes. The extra virgin olive oil will enhance your dishes, giving them a very special touch.
Lastly, after a 1 to 1.5-hour-long tasting, we'll conclude this olive oil tourism experience.
