Sail one of the longest rivers in the world on this 5-day cruise along the Yangtze River to the city of Chongqing. You'll fall in love with China's scenery!

Cruise Details

Day 1: Departure from Yichang

At 7 pm, we'll meet at the Maoping Pier in Yichang to start to board the cruise ship that we'll be staying on for the next 5 days. As you settle into your cabins, at 9 pm, we'll set sail along the waters of the Yangtze River away from Yichang, the economic center of the Hubei Province.

Day 2: Three Gorges Dam & Xiling Gorge

In the morning, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet aboard the ship and arrive in Sandouping, where we'll cross the locks of the Three Gorges Dam. Did you know that it is the largest dam in the world?

We'll then leave this area to head to Xiling, the longest and deepest part of the Three Gorges. It's almost 44 miles (66 kilometers) long! Also, if the river is calm, in the afternoon we'll visit the tribe of the Three Gorges. In this fascinating place, we'll discover how the inhabitants of the region live.

Day 3: Wu & Qutang Gorges

After enjoying breakfast on the ship, we'll hop into a traditional Chinese boat and head to Goddess Stream, one of the most impressive areas of the river.

Later, we'll explore the Wu Gorge, where the mountains and cliffs will captivate us. From there, we'll head to the Qutang Gorge, the narrowest part of the Yangtze River Gorges!

Then we'll return to the ship, where you'll have the rest of the afternoon free. Enjoy!

Day 4: Shibaozhai, Fengdu, or Yuhuang Shengdi

We'll enjoy a delicious breakfast on board and, depending on the river conditions, we'll visit Shibaozhai, Fengdu, or Yuhuang Shengdi. If we go to Shibaozhai, we'll see its famous wooden temple. Did you know they call it the "Pearl of the Yangtze River?" It's considered one of the strangest buildings in the world

The Fengdu Ghost City, located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, is a very unique place. Here, we'll admire its demon sculptures, which were built on Mingshan Hill over 2000 years ago. In Yuhuang Shengdi, you'll be able to see the Jade Emperor Pagoda.

We'll end the day with dinner on the ship and head back to our cabins to rest until the next day.

Day 5: Chongqing

On our last day of this tour, we'll have an early breakfast and conclude our 5-day cruise along the Yangtze River at the Port of Chongqing at 8:30 am.

Itinerary Adjustments

Please note that the cruise itinerary may be modified depending on weather conditions. For this reason, we also recommend booking a flight or train from Chongqing on the last day no earlier than 3 pm.

In the event of storms, the port of arrival on the last day of the tour could be Wanzhou instead of Chongqing. However, if this happens, we will provide bus transportation from the Port of Wanzhou to downtown Chongqing.
