Gyeongju Day Trip

Day Trip Details

We'll start our day trip to Gyeongju, setting off from the central meeting point of your choice in Busan. After about 1.5 hours of traveling along the Korean peninsula, we'll first visit Bulguska Temple, one of the oldest in all of Asia and one of the most visited due to its historical significance.

We'll explore the narrow streets and paths around the village, enjoying its natural surroundings, ancient architecture, and traditional customs. Later, we'll make a stop along the route so you can have some free time to sample South Korea's delicious cuisine.

After lunch, we'll visit the ancient town of Gyeongju Gyochon, a traditional Korean town that's perfect for discovering the region's history. We'll stroll through the streets and paths to enjoy its nature and its ancient architecture as we learn about the locals' customs.

Next, we'll explore Daereungwon, a complex known as the Royal Tombs Park, as it is home to 23 tombs from the Silla Dynasty. Nearby, we'll find Hwangridan, a perfect spot to experience the modern side of Gyeongju.

We end our trip by making a brief 20-minute stop at the Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. This artificial lake is full of colorful fish and is located next to Gyeongju National Park, on tranquil grounds that encourage meditation and reflection.

Then, we'll also swing by the Woljeonggyo Bridge, a marvel of ancient engineering with its sturdy stone arches. This historic bridge spans the Woljeongcheon Stream and has been a crucial part of Gyeongju's transportation network for ages.

Once we have finished our guided tour of Gyeongju, we'll return to the starting point in Busan.

During the booking process, you can choose between the following options, depending on your time:

8-Hour Day Trip

Designed for those who want to visit the must-see efficiently. You'll spend a total of 6 hours in Gyeongju, optimizing transfer times and stops. If you choose this option, please note the following times and pickup points, which are fixed during the entire year:

• KTX Busan Station (Exit 1): pickup is at 9 am
• Seomyeon Station (Exit 12): pickup is at 9:20 am
• Haeundae Station (Exit 5): pickup is at 10 am

12-Hour Day Trip

This is the ideal option for those who are in no rush. We'll enjoy 8 hours in Gyeongju, which will give us plenty of time to explore every corner at a leisurely pace. Unlike the previous tour, the pickup times at the meeting points vary depending on the season:

• KTX Busan Station (Exit 1): until September 30, 2026, pickup is at 10:20 am. From October 1, 2026, to March 15, 2027, pickup is at 9:20 am
• Seomyeon Station (Exit 12): until September 30, 2026, pickup is at 10:40 am. From October 1, 2026, to March 15, 2027, pickup is at 9:40 am
• Haeundae Station (Exit 5): until September 30, 2026, pickup is at 11:20 am. rom October 1, 2026, to March 15, 2027, pickup is at 10:20 am
