Activity Details
After meeting at your chosen location in Mexico City, we'll travel by minibus to the take-off area where this hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacán will take place.
As soon as we arrive, we'll see the process of how the balloon fills with air while we enjoy a coffee to fuel up. We'll then climb into the basket and set off on a journey through the skies in our hot air balloon.
We'll fly over the Teotihuacán Valley and observe some of the most visited archaeological ruins in the country. The flight will last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on weather conditions.
From the air, we'll enjoy privileged views of the Avenue of the Dead, the Pyramid of the Moon, the Pyramid of the Sun and the Quetzalcoatl Temple.
Upon landing, we'll toast with sparkling wine accompanied by a buffet breakfast at La Higuera restaurant. Afterwards, we'll present you with a certificate accrediting your first balloon flight.
You'll also have 2 hours of free time to visit the ruins of Teotihuacán on foot and discover the enigmas and secrets of the city of the gods. If you have opted for the guided tour, you'll visit with an expert in Mexica culture.
But that's not all! We'll attend a craft workshop to learn about Teotihuacán customs. We'll learn some uses of obsidian and the importance of the agave plant. In addition, we'll see how aguamiel is fermented and how silver pieces are made. To put the finishing touch to this special day, we'll enjoy a tasting of pulque, tequila, nopal liqueur and mezcal.
Finally, we'll return by minibus to the starting point in Mexico City, where we'll conclude this 8-hour activity.

- Torre del Caballito on Avenida Reforma: at 4:40 am

- At the roundabout of Angel of Independence: at 5 am

Departure From Teotihuacán
If you would like to visit Teotihuacán on your own, you can book the option that only includes the balloon ride. Please note that this option does not include transport from Mexico City, a guide or entrance fees. In this case, you must go directly to the hot air balloon launch site at 6 am: 55850 San Martín de las Pirámides, Méx., Mexico.

- The schedule may be subject to change due to weather conditions. In the event of any changes, you'll be notified 12 hours in advance. We recommend booking your flight for the first possible day you're available. This way, if weather conditions are not optimal, we can reschedule it for another day.
- Please keep in mind that the route may change depending on the wind, and it's possible that we won't be able to fly over the ruins of Teotihuacan.
- The price is valid for people weighing up to 99 kg (218 lbs). If this weight is exceeded, 30 USD will be charged for each extra kg, to be paid directly at the take-off point.
- If the flight cannot take place due to adverse weather conditions, a refund will be made minus 420 MXN (US$ 23.88) per passenger for ground transportation.
- The balloons are not overloaded, so you'll travel comfortably and safely.
