Designed by the renowned studio Foster and Partners, the building is inspired by the wings of a falcon in flight, an animal deeply rooted in Emirati tradition. Its 5 aerodynamic towers are not just a sculptural feature, they also act as thermal chimneys that channel air to passively cool the interior. This system is based on the traditional badgir used in Gulf vernacular architecture.
With your tickets to the Zayed National Museum, you’ll have access to its 6 chronologically arranged galleries. Inside, you’ll explore everything from the earliest human settlements in the region to the formation of the modern state under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
You’ll pass through climate-controlled display cases, immersive installations, and interactive exhibits. Each one showcases archaeological objects, manuscripts, and ethnographic pieces that illustrate the country’s social, economic, and environmental evolution. Did you know that some of the artifacts on display have been passed down through generations within the same Bedouin families?
In addition, the museum features an outdoor gallery that connects with the surrounding desert landscape. Inside the Zayed National Museum, you’ll see the documented past of a nation that looks toward the future.

The Zayed National Museum is open at the following times:

- Saturday and Sunday: from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm
