Lo primero no pasaron a recogernos. Después de insistir en las llamadas, pasaron una hora tarde a por nosotros. Ya no sabemos con quien fuimos, con lo que nosotros habíamos reservado desde luego,no. Con respecto a la excursión, el guía fue muy amable. La excursión es bonita pero se hace larga y más aún con la parada para comer, innecesaria, cara y de poca calidad.

La laguna tiene un paisaje increíble y vale la pena visitarla por las vistas. Sin embargo, en cuanto a los flamencos, la experiencia fue regular. Nos comentaron que se podían observar tres tipos de flamencos, pero solo vimos unos cuantos y bastante lejos. También nos llamó la atención que nos llevaran en cuatrimoto por unos minutos (pagando obviamente) para luego volver al mismo lugar e ir caminando a buscarlos. Sentimos que esa parte pudo estar mejor organizada.

The lagoon has an incredible landscape and is worth visiting for the views alone. However, the flamingo experience was just okay. We were told that three types of flamingos could be seen, but we only saw a few, and quite far away. We were also surprised that they took us on a quad bike for a few minutes (for a fee, of course) only to then return us to the same spot and have us walk to find them. We felt that part could have been better organized.

Nos citan a las 6am, no podemos desayunar en el hotel, pero lo primero que hacen es llevarnos a desayunar a un sitio infinitamente peor. La laguna de las salinas es espectacular, pero el resto de actividades: ecogranja y mini volcan son relleno, muy prescindible El autobus terrible, muy viejo y muy sucio

La excursión es bastante bonita y dejan tiempo libre. Sobra la comida final, sería mejor que te llevaran directamente a Arequipa. El autocar penoso, los neumáticos sin dibujo, entraba tanto polvo que casi no se podía respirar. El conductor temerario, incluso un pasajero le tuvo que indicar que fuera más despacio.

Las Salinas es un lugar único y merece mucho la pena ir, la opción de las cuatrimotos es muy divertida, pero hay muy poco tiempo para disfrutarlo con calma. Los precios del restaurante son muy altos para lo que ofrecen aunque sea el único de la zona. La última parada del embalse se podría omitir porque el viaje en autobús ya se hace muy pesado.

Las Salinas is a unique place and it is very worth going, the ATV option is very fun, but there is very little time to enjoy it calmly. The restaurant's prices are very high for what they offer even though it is the only one in the area. The last stop at the reservoir could be skipped because the bus trip is already very tiring.

We liked the visit to the Laguna de Salinas. We saw lots of alpacas and llamas, and even flamingos. Unfortunately, we had to pay for breakfast even though the activity said it was included. Also, the visit to the springs and the mini volcano were underwhelming. You also have to pay 8 soles to see the mini volcano. The visit to the Salinas was great, but too short. And after lunch, we went to a another lagoon on 3300 meters, but it was also underwhelming. All in all, it was OK.

La excursión fue espectacular gracias en gran parte al guía, Marcos. Empezamos yendo a un mirador donde ver los volcanes de Arequipa y después desayunamos en una picantería para ir posteriormente a las salinas. Espectacular lugar donde te maravilla el paisaje. Luego nos dirigimos a unas aguas termales a 4500m donde nos dimos un baño relajante con unas vistas increíbles para acabar comiendo abundantemente en un poblado. The tour was spectacular thanks in large part to the guide, Marcos. This activity was fine, we enjoyed getting to visit Salinas however it was not as described on this website. We were led to believe that it was a much more involved hiking trip around just the Lagunas de Salinas. It was clear that this was not what the other participants were expecting. We were pleasantly surprised by the thermal baths but again this was not in the description that we read.

Tanto el conductor como el guia han estado bien. El mayor problema es la excursión en si. No vale la pena tragarse 5 o 6 horas de bus por una carretera intransitable para lo que luego ofrece. Realmente estamos decepcionados. Y la comida en el restaurante recomendado no fue nada buena. En general no volveria a hacer esta excursión ni tampoco la recomendaria. Como punto positivo el desayuno y la gente, que son hospitalarios y buena gente.

Both the driver and the guide were fine. The biggest problem is the tour itself. It's not worth enduring a 5 or 6-hour bus ride on an impassable road for what it offers. We were really disappointed. And the food at the recommended restaurant was terrible. Overall, I wouldn't do this tour again, nor would I recommend it. On the positive side, the breakfast and the people were hospitable and friendly.
