Venture into Volcano Valley and the archaeological sites of Querulpa, Maucallacta and Toromuerto on our 3-day tour from Arequipa. It'll be an unforgettable Peruvian adventure!

Volcano Valley 3-Day Tour

Day 1: Arequipa - Andagua - Ayo

At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa and set off on our 3-day tour of Volcano Valley. We'll stop for breakfast in Corire and then continue on the the Querulpa Jurassic Park. Here, we'll take a 1-hour stroll to follow the dinosaur footprints and life-size figures.

After enjoying a meaty lunch with pasta and soup, we'll continue our journey to Andagua. We'll gaze at the snow-capped peaks of Coropuna and see llamas, alpacas and vicuñas grazing on the plains. At around 2 pm, we'll arrive at our destination and stop in the village of Ayo. Here, we'll have a dinner that'll include soup, rice with vegetables and a hot drink. Good night!

Day 2: Ayo - Mamacocha - Andagua

Rise and shine! At 5 am, we'll set off to Maucallata. You'll have some free time for breakfast here before we visit the Mamacocha Lagoon. Did you know that it's the largest spring in all of South America?

Having spent 3 hours there, we'll drive to Andagua and give you some free time for lunch. We'll then head to Antaymarca to visit its archaeological remains and climb up to the viewpoint. From here, we'll admire the small volcanoes, of which there are more than 80, that surround the area. You'll feel like you're on another planet!

We'll spend an hour walking to the Shankillay Waterfall so we can hike up to one of the volcanoes. It'll then be time to return to Ayo for some well-earned rest.

Day 3: Majes Valley - Arequipa

In the morning, we'll wake up and you'll have some free time for breakfast before we set off on the return journey to Arequipa. On the way back, we'll make stops in Machahuay and Viraco, two ancient farming villages located in the Coropuna Valley. After we've had lunch at a restaurant in Majes, we'll take a 1-hour tour of the Toro Muerto Petroglyphs. You'll love this place, as it's one of the most famous and iconic rock art sites in Volcano Valley.

Our adventure will come to an end as we drop you back off at your hotel at around 6 pm.
