    We explored the Paiva walkways and the Arouca bridge, accompanied by Bárbara, who shared interesting facts about the area and answered all our questions in several languages. The area is spectacular, with a rich landscape, archaeological sites, and natural beauty. We couldn't finish the route because the last few kilometers of the walkways were destroyed in the devastating wildfires of last summer. We were given a snack in a backpack and picked up by Jeep and returned to the starting point.
