Discover Bali's Barong dance and ancient mythology. You'll meet its performers in the village of Batubulan and marvel at their craftsmanship.
Barong Dance in Batubulan Village
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll set off for Batubulan. This Balinese village is famous for its unique craftsmanship, the stone guards guarding its entrance and its performance of the Barong dance.
We'll explore Batubulan to see its famous hand-carved statues and the beauty of its stone bowls before watching a Barong dance performance. This dance-ritual represents the struggle between the king of the spirits of good (the Barong lion) and the queen of demons (Rangda). It is an adaptation of Balinese mythology based on the eternal battle between good and evil.
We'll drop you off at the hotel for 11:30 pm.
