At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at Praça da Liberdade to head towards Serra do Espinhaço. Are you ready to discover one of the most amazing natural corners of Minas Gerais?
After about 3 hours of driving, our first stop will be in Conceição do Mato Dentro. This picturesque mining town is located in the middle of the Caminho dos Diamantes of the Estrada Real, a historic route used in the past to transport precious gems. There, we'll take a break so you can stretch your legs and have a coffee if you'd like.
Then, we'll enter the Serra do Intendente Natural Park to start our hiking route. We'll walk for approximately 40 minutes until we reach the Rabo de Cavalo waterfall, a 150-m (490 ft) waterfall surrounded by imposing rock formations, a postcard-worthy view!
At the foot of the waterfall, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to swim, take pictures, and enjoy a small picnic snack, which includes a protein bar, a cupcake, a fruit cream, juice, and coconut water. This is the moment to sit back, relax, and connect with nature.
Following this revitalizing stop, we'll return to the starting point of the route and head to Fazenda Taboão, where we'll be welcomed by a local cheese producer. Here we'll taste some of their artisanal cheeses and enjoy a delicious homemade lunch with typical products from the region.
On the way back to Belo Horizonte, we'll make a last stop in Conceição do Mato Dentro so you can buy sweets, cachaças, and other traditional delicacies from Minas Gerais.
Finally, we'll say goodbye at the starting point after a total of 13.5 hours of adventure.
