The Berlin Cathedral, a Unique Temple on Museum Island

Meanwhile, in the basement of the cathedral, you'll find the crypt of the Hohenzollern, which houses more than 90 tombs of the members of this powerful dynasty. The sarcophagi, which cover a wide period from the 16th to the 20th century, are true jewels of funerary art.

To end your visit on a high note, climb up to the dome of the Berlin Cathedral, whose access you have included with your ticket. Of course, you'll have to walk up the 270 steps leading to the viewpoint at the top! The effort will be worth it, as you're welcomed by sweeping panoramas of the German capital, making it a picture-perfect moment.

Opening Times

The Berlin Cathedral is open during the following times:

• Monday to Friday: 9 am to 6 pm
• Saturdays: from 9 am to 5 pm
• Sundays: from 12 pm to 5 pm

Children Under 18

Children under 18 years of age are admitted free of charge to the Berlin Cathedral. They do not need a ticket, but must be accompanied by an adult and are not entitled to an audio guide.
