7, 10, 13 or 15-Day Tour of Colombia
Tour Details
Day 1: Bogotá
Upon your arrival at El Dorado Airport, we'll be waiting for you to begin this unforgettable 7-day tour of Colombia. Once we've all gathered, we'll take you to your hotel in Bogotá, where you'll spend the next two nights.
Please note that on this day we'll take a walking tour of the historic center of the Colombian capital. This guided tour will take place at 10 am or 2 pm.
During the tour, which lasts approximately 2 hours, we'll visit Bolívar Square, which has witnessed some of the most momentous events in Colombian history, such as the cries for independence. In this political and cultural epicenter stands the imposing Primada Cathedral and the National Capitol, buildings that tell centuries of history.
Once we finish the tour of the city center, you can choose whether to continue exploring the city on your own or if you would like us to take you back to the hotel. You'll have the afternoon and evening free to enjoy at your own pace.
Please note: if you arrive after the scheduled guided tour times, we'll pick you up at the airport and you'll have the day free.
Day 2: Bogotá – Zipaquirá – Bogotá
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the accommodation, we'll leave Bogotá behind and set off on an day trip to Zipaquirá, which is about 50 minutes from the city.
Once there, we'll visit the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, an architectural masterpiece carved out of an underground mine. During the visit, we'll tour its majestic galleries, chapels, and salt sculptures. After exploring this unique construction, we'll leave you with about an hour of free time so that you can recharge your batteries with a dish of local cuisine.
Afterwards, we'll meet again to head to the second destination of the day: the Guatavita Lagoon. This natural wonder is located at an altitude of over 3,000 m (9,842 ft) in the municipality of Sesquilé. We'll walk along its trails while we tell you about the mystery surrounding this place due to the legend of El Dorado. It's said that this was the place where the Muisca Indians performed ceremonies to offer gold to their gods. Could all that gold be buried underground?
After exploring these sites, we'll return to the hotel in Bogotá, arriving after a total of 11 hours of adventure. Upon arrival, you'll be free to have dinner and rest.
Day 3: Bogotá - Salento
Once we've had breakfast early in the morning, we'll say goodbye to the capital and immerse ourselves in the charming Colombian Coffee Region. We'll travel approximately 6.5 hours from Bogotá to Salento, a picturesque town famous for its traditional architecture and for being the inspiration for the Disney film Encanto.
Once there, we'll give you free time for lunch. Afterwards, we'll meet again to spend the afternoon learning all about Colombia's flagship product: coffee. We'll visit the El Ocaso farm, where we'll gain an in-depth understanding of the entire process of growing and producing coffee beans. We'll stroll through the coffee plantations and round off the experience with an exquisite coffee tasting. What a treat!
At the end of the tasting, we'll take you to the hotel in Salento so you can rest.
Day 4: Salento
On the fourth day, one of Colombia's most impressive landscapes awaits you: the Cocora Valley. After breakfast, we'll go to the central square of Salento to board an off-road vehicle, which will take us to this magical place in about half an hour.
Once there, we'll go on a hiking trail for approximately 3.5 hours to explore every corner. During the hike, you'll be impressed by the imposing wax palms, the national tree of Colombia, which rise majestically toward the sky. Wax palms are the tallest palms in the world, reaching over 60 m (197 ft) in height. They are endemic to the Andean valleys of Colombia, and their presence in the Cocora Valley creates a unique landscape.
After hiking trails surrounded by lush nature and enjoying the views, we'll return to Salento and you'll have the rest of the day free to finish exploring the town before departing the next day.
Day 5: Salento - Cali
After breakfast, we'll set off on a 4-hour journey to Cali, the Colombian capital of salsa. Once you have settled into your hotel in Cali, you'll have free time for lunch.
With our batteries recharged, we'll set out on a tour of the historic center to begin to understand the history and culture of the city. We'll pass by the Ermita Church, one of the symbols of Cali, and the Cayzedo Square, the heart of the city.
After the walk, we'll head to a dance academy where we'll enjoy a salsa class in Cali. For an hour, we'll practice the basic movements of this dance and have fun learning different choreographies.
The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to explore the city and enjoy its lively nightlife.

After this cultural immersion, we'll head to the imposing Cristo Rey, a viewpoint that towers over the city and offers a spectacular panoramic view of Cali and its surroundings. It's the perfect place to capture some unforgettable photographs!
Once the city tour is over, you'll have the afternoon and evening free. See you tomorrow!
