Sunshine Coast Hinterland Day Trip
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Margaret Street, number 222. From there, we'll leave Brisbane behind and set off to the region of Sunshine Coast Hinterland, whose landscapes, charming towns, and fascinating culture will take center stage for the day.
To start, we'll travel to the Mary Cairncross Reserve, where we'll enjoy the best scenic views of the Glass House Mountains, formed thousands of years ago due to volcanic eruptions. Throughout our trip, we'll explore the lush forests and admire its tropical plants.
Afterward, we'll reach Montville, a town on top of a mountain known for its popular art galleries, shops, and viewpoints. Here, you'll have 45 minutes of free time at your own pace.
We'll regroup to head to the Eumundi Markets. Did you know it's one of the most famous markets in Australia? This must-visit site in Sunshine Coast Hinterland is the perfect place to learn about the local culture thanks to its artisanal crafts and food stands. So you don't miss out on anything, you'll have 1 hour of free time that you can also use to grab a bite to eat for lunch.
To continue on a high note, we'll go to Noosa, a charming town that you can't miss when visiting the Sunshine Coast Hinterland region. In this town, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to relax in its waters and enjoy the beach.
Once we're together again, we'll return to the minibus and drive on the south road, passing picturesque towns in the region, like Sunshine, Marcus, Peregian, or the beaches of Coolum.
Before returning to Brisbane, we'll stop at a ginger factory in Yandina, the largest ginger factory in the world. We'll visit its store and learn all about the work done here. You can't leave without trying its famous ginger ice cream!
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point and conclude this 10-hour day trip.
