    10/10 experience. The tour was incredible thanks to Pau, our guide, who explained everything with so much passion, knowledge, and a touch of humor that made the tour even more special. It's clear he loves what he does, and he kept us captivated from beginning to end. Special mention also goes to Mari Toñi, the bus driver, who was super friendly and approachable, making the journey comfortable at all times. Without a doubt, a highly recommended experience.

Ten Wijngaerde is the city of Bruges' last remaining Beguinage—a complex created to house beguines (a group of lay religious women) during the Middle Ages which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

History

This complex, officially known as the Princely Beguinage, Ten Wijngaerde dates back to 1244, when it was founded by Margaret of Constantinople, then Countess of Flanders.
