Palermo Neighborhood Parks Tour
Tour Details
Want to spend an afternoon in parks and mate in Buenos Aires? In that case, just like authentic porteños, we'll meet at the entrance of the Carlos Thays Botanical Garden, also called the Buenos Aires Botanical Garden. Here, we'll give a short introduction to the tour and its dynamics.
After the ice breakers, we'll step inside this first park. Once we've crossed its iron gate, you'll feel the city's noise begin to fade. We'll walk on trails surrounded by over 5,000 species of plants from around the world. You'll see hidden sculptures among the vegetation, 19th-century greenhouses, and if you're lucky, a stray cat will approach us. They have become an icon of the botanical garden!
Then, we'll head to the Buenos Aires Eco-Park, a former zoo that has turned into a haven for relaxation. We'll get lost on the trails that once had cages, and you'll see how history has transformed this site. You may hear capybaras running among the trees!
Our last stop will be the popular El Rosedal park, the romantic heart of the neighborhood of Palermo. Here, you'll see the picture-perfect white bridge, and we'll enter this garden, home to over 18,000 roses. You'll admire the lake, the statues of poets, the boats, the cobblestone paths, and the pergolas.
At this park, it'll be the moment to sit and enjoy a mate—the perfect excuse to chat in Argentina! You'll also have typical snacks to accompany this popular drink.
Finally, after 3 hours of unforgettable moments, we'll say our goodbyes at the initial starting point.
