Rosario Islands Day Trip
Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up at the indicated time at your hotel in Cartagena de Indias or at the agreed meeting point. From there, we'll head towards the Marina Todo Mar dock to board a boat that will take us across the bay of Las Animas. You'll be welcomed with fresh fruit and a welcome drink. Gradually, we'll make our way into the open sea as we sail toward the Rosario Islands.
During our crossing, we'll make a brief stop at the fortress of San Fernando in Bocachica. Leaving this area behind, we'll arrive at Isla Grande, where the group of islands that we'll visit is located. There, you'll have free time to snorkel and see the numerous colourful fish.
Then we'll disembark on the island of Cholon. Here, you'll have an hour of free time. The next stop will be at Blanca Beach on the Baru peninsula. You'll have another hour free to swim in the crystal clear waters.
Finally, after 8 hours together, we'll say goodbye at the Marina Todo Mar dock, located in Bocagrande.
Tour without Cholón Island
During the booking process, depending on availability, you can select the tour without Cholón Island.
In this case, after enjoying Isla Grande, we'll reach a beach club to enjoy a comforting lunch. After 1.5 hours of free time, you can choose between going to Isla Isabela or the Aquarium of the Rosario Islands. After 2 hours in one of these sites, we'll return to the starting point, where we'll say goodbye 8.5 hours later.
Important: please note that admission to the Aquarium is not included, and you'll need to pay in cash on the day of the activity.
Optional Activities
During the boat trip, you'll be able to opt for various optional activities that are carried out with the staff of the Aquarium of the Rosario Islands:
- Snorkelling: This activity is free and does not include snorkelling equipment
- Shark and dolphin show: for an additional 55,000 COP (US$ 13.71) per person

Pickup Point & Meeting Point
Depending on the selected option, the meeting point will be the following:
- Tour with Cholón Island: this activity includes pickup at hotels in actividad incluye la recogida en los hoteles de Bocagrande, Castillo Grande, and El Laguito. If you're staying outside this designated area, we'll meet directly at Todomar Marina (Cra. 2 #15-364). Please note that the ending location will be Todomar Marina.
- Tour without Cholón Island: this activity begins at the Monumento Santander, located in front of the Pier of La Bodeguita - Gate 1.
