    I'll tell you about my experience with the tour: very organized, focused, and fun. Antônio, Tonancy, and Juan were spectacular. They were punctual, followed the itinerary, and were very good at managing and running the tour. It's quite tight: lots of things to do in a short time – whether or not to do things that way is our choice. We lost a day of travel because of Gol (airline), so it was well worth optimizing. The guides and the driver were very nice and welcoming. I recommend it.

History

Chichén Itzá dates back to pre-Columbian times, with origins estimated around the 6th century AD. The city flourished during the Classic period (600-900 AD), becoming an important centre of Maya culture.

Among the site's main monuments are:

  • The Temple of Kukucán: the site's most iconic structure, and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
  • The Grand Ball Court: largest and best-preserved playing field in Mesoamerica.
  • The Observatory: circular structure used by the Maya to study the stars and planets.
