Rafting the Santo Domingo River
Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Medellín to head to Cocorná and get our adrenaline pumping in the jungle of Antioquia.
Once we arrive, we'll hike to our rafting launch point along the Santo Domingo River. The river itself boasts a tranquil current compared to others nearby, making it the best spot for beginner rafters.
Following a brief introduction, we'll gear up with helmets, life jackets, and all the necessary equipment. Once fully prepared, we'll board the rafts and start paddling. We'll navigate a 3-kilometer (1.8 miles) section of the river for the next hour, encountering class I and II rapids.
Throughout the tour, you'll be able to admire the vibrant and lush landscapes of Antioquia's jungle. This Colombian region boasts an abundance of rivers, and their beauty will captivate you from the start to the finish of your journey.
Along our route, we'll stop to enjoy a picnic lunch to refuel for the rest of our journey. After lunch, we'll head back to the meeting point in Cocorná.
For those who choose the tour with transport included, we'll bring you back to your hotel in Medellín about 6 hours after pickup.
