Colima & Comala 4-Day Tour
4-Day Tour Details
Day 1: Colima - Comala
¡Welcome to Colima! Once we reach the city, we'll be waiting for you at the airport or the bus station to take you to Comala, where we'll spend the first night.
Upon arrival at the hotel in Comala, you'll have free time to settle in and the rest of the day off to rest and start exploring the town at your own pace. You'll fall in love with the Pueblo Mágico of Comala!
Day 2: Comala
We'll start the day with a complete guided tour of Comala, known as the "Pueblo Blanco de América." Can you imagine why? We'll tell you!
During the tour of this Magic Town, we'll explore its main tourist attractions as we review its history. First, we'll head to the Museo Universitario Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo, where we'll see a series of illustrations that went around the world. This collection of Prehispanic art, collected by the artist Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo throughout his life, is a fascinating treasure. Plus, the building's architecture perfectly contrasts with the countryside of Colima. Don't forget to take a picture!
Afterward, we'll continue exploring the historic center of Comala, passing its famous white houses, its main square, and the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel. Then, we'll stop at the La Guadalupana bakery, one of the most typical shops in Comala, where you won't be able to resist trying one of its delicacies.
To finish the day, we'll discover the local Ponche Don Tavo, where we'll taste artisanal punch, an ancient product that is emblematic in the town. You'll have the rest of the day off so you can eat at a restaurant in Comala and continue discovering the town at your own pace.
Day 3: Comala - Colima
We'll leave Comala behind to set off to Colima, where a day filled with architecture, history, and tradition awaits. Ready?
We'll embark on a tour of the historic center of Colima, where we'll see the Teatro Hidalgo, a Neogothic-style gem that has witnessed several generations of artists on its stage. Then, we'll reach the Palacio de Gobierno, where we'll discover the city's history through its fascinating murals.
Then, we'll pass in front of the Catedral Basílica Menor de Colima and the famous Quiosco, in the Jardín Libertad. Did you know it was brought directly from Belgium? In this garden, you'll have to find the Piedra Lisa and learn about its legend.
To end the tour, we'll reach the Villa de Álvarez, where we'll visit its main square, the Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís, and a traditional ice cream shop. Get ready to try artisanal ice cream!
After the tour, we'll head to the Cenaduría Julia restaurant, where, if you want, you can enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, we'll take you back to the hotel in Colima so you can rest.
Day 4: Colima
On the last day, you'll have the morning off so you can say goodbye to Colima. At the agreed time, which will be around midday, we'll look for you to take you to the departure point from the city you choose, such as the airport or the bus station. Until next time!
