Costa Adeje 5 Hour Whale & Dolphin Catamaran Experience
If you're staying in Costa Adeje, don't miss out on our Costa Adeje 5 Hour Whale & Dolphin Catamaran Experience! We'll cruise along Tenerife's western coast in search of the dolphin and whale families that inhabit this area.
Costa Adeje 5 Hour Whale & Dolphin Catamaran Experience
At 10:30 am we'll meet at the port of Colón, located in the town of Costa Adeje. We'll board a catamaran and start sailing along the west coast of Tenerife in search of the whale and dolphin families that inhabit this part of the Atlantic Ocean.
We'll sail through the Teno-Rasca marine strip, a protected area that serves as a sanctuary where countless whales and dolphins live. The temperature of the water, plus the depth and food supply, make this place an ideal habitat for these animals.
The specific breeds we'll see will depend on the ocean currents on the day, but hopefully we'll see bottlenose dolphins, pilot whales or sperm whales. We'll tell you lots of interesting facts about these species as well as using an underwater sound system to listen to the fascinating songs the animals use to communicate.
You'll also see breathtaking views of the famous Los Gigantes cliffs and the quiet Masca bay. In Masca bay, we'll drop anchor so you can take a refreshing dip in the open sea.
After having a swim, you'll have a delicious lunch on the catamaran of Valencian chicken and rabbit paella. There'll also be a red and green Canarian mojo sauce and fresh fruit. You can also help yourself to beer, soft drinks, and water from the open bar.
Our catamaran trip will finish at 3:30 pm upon our arrival back at the starting point. See you next time!

Frequently asked questions
-
Q - Are there stairs to access the catamaran and the toilet?
A - Yes, there are stairs to access the boat and to go up to the toilet on the first floor.
-
Q - Are whales and dolphins always spotted on these trips?
A - The dolphins and whales are living freely in their natural habitat. Therefore, external conditions affect the probability of us seeing a greater or lesser number of pilot whales or bottlenose dolphins. This trip takes place within the Teno-Rasca protected natural area, a whale sanctuary where they live all year round in excellent conditions of water temperature, depth and food supply.
