River Ebro Seafood Workshop + Mussel Tasting
River Ebro Seafood Workshop + Mussel Tasting
We'll meet at the indicated time on the promenade of Riumar to begin our activity to learn about one of the oldest traditions on the Ebro Delta: shellfish fishing.
As part of this activity, you'll get the chance to try your hand at fishing for shellfish. We'll learn how to use the extraction techniques used by the fishermen's ancestors, which are still used today, and the ancient tools that were used. What's more, we'll learn all sorts of interesting facts about the different types of shellfish in the area, like how they reproduce and their importance in the Ebro Delta Natural Park.
We'll also take the opportunity, since we're in this wonderful place, to take a walk along the beach of Riumar, reaching Isla Margarita, one of the richest areas in seafood at the mouth of the Ebro River.
After this pleasant walk, we'll its time for the icing on the cake to the experience as we'll enjoy a tapa of fresh mussels from the Ebro Delta, accompanied by a beer, a soft drink, or a glass of wine from Tierra Alta. All this, in an unbeatable setting, a beachfront restaurant, what more could you ask for?
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point, where we'll say goodbye after a total of 2 hours.
