Denia 2026 Solar Eclipse Aboard a Catamaran
Denia, One of The Best Places in Alicante to Watch The Eclipse
On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, a total solar eclipse will take place, the most anticipated astronomical event of the year!
In Denia, the peak of this phenomenon will occur around 8:30 pm, when a deep partial eclipse can be observed. What does this mean? It is estimated that the maximum obscuration will reach 99.90%, meaning the solar disk will be almost completely covered by the Moon. Only an extremely thin and nearly imperceptible ring of sunlight will remain visible.
In fact, Denia will be the town in the Marina Alta region experiencing the highest degree of coverage, coming very close to totality.
Catamaran Cruise to Watch The Solar Eclipse From The Sea
We'll begin this catamaran cruise along the coast of Denia by departing from the pier located next to Explanada de Cervantes, 2.
Once on board, you'll receive certified eclipse glasses so you can safely observe the eclipse. While waiting for the moment of maximum coverage, we'll sail along the Dénia coastline. You will also enjoy a drink on board, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, according to your preference.
As we move farther away from the coast, the sky will gradually begin to darken until, finally, the most anticipated moment arrives. You'll be able to witness the 2026 solar eclipse from the sea in almost total form. It will truly be an unforgettable experience!
After enjoying this unique astronomical phenomenon for a few minutes, we'll begin our return journey while you admire the sunset over Dénia. The sunset in this part of the Costa Blanca is truly spectacular!
Finally, we will conclude this 1.5-hour cruise by docking back at the departure pier.
