Kelpies, Hermitage, & Dunkeld Tour + Military Tattoo Tickets
Activity Details
Are you in Edinburgh and want to visit the must-see monuments in Scotland? At the designated time, we'll meet at High Street, number 60, to begin this day trip that will captivate you. Let's go!
Once we're all gathered, we'll leave the capital of Scotland behind and set off north. Our first stop will be one of the most famous monuments in recent years, the Kelpies. We'll see these enormous horse sculptures and talk about mythology, as well as how they honor Scottish agriculture.
Our journey will take us to review Scotland's history and the country's main figures. Have you heard of Rob Roy MacGregor? You'll find out about his adventures on this tour! The next stop will be at a whisky distillery, where we'll discuss the importance of this Scottish product and its elaboration process.
From here, we'll head to the famous Hermitage, a nature reserve site full of magic where you'll find the tallest trees in the United Kingdom. We'll explore this site on foot to admire its beauty and, of course, stop at the Black Linn Falls, where the River Tay flows into three sparkling torrents that leave a beautiful scenery.
To wrap up the tour, we'll reach the town of Dunkeld. Here, we'll embark on a guided tour to explore this small medieval town and its main buildings, like the Cathedral. You'll have free time to grab a bite to eat at a restaurant.
After lunch, we'll pass the Forth Bridge before travelling back to Edinburgh. This bridge is a must-visit in any tour of the surrounding areas of the Scottish capital. Finally, we'll return to the starting point at approximately 5:30.
At the agreed time, you'll need to head to the Edinburgh Castle to experience one of the most anticipated moments of the day: the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo performance. Get ready for a magical night!
