Edmonton Bike Tour
Tour Details
After meeting at 108 NW Street, we'll hop on our bikes to discover Edmonton from a dynamic new perspective. Let’s start pedaling!
First, we'll stop in front of the Alberta Legislature Building, one of the province's most iconic landmarks. As we explore its gardens, we’ll discuss the city’s origins and the Beaux-Arts architectural details of this grand building.
We'll continue cycling along the North Saskatchewan River, crossing the largest urban river valley in North America. Here, you’ll learn why this waterway was essential to both Indigenous and European trade routes.
Next, we’ll reach the historic campus of the University of Alberta, known for its academic legacy and eclectic architecture. The tour will continue toward Old Strathcona, the city’s bohemian heart, where we’ll talk about the railway boom and the district’s independent past.
We’ll also venture into the natural beauty of Mill Creek Ravine Park, a green urban oasis that connects neighborhoods and showcases sustainable city planning.
On our way back downtown, we’ll admire the glass pyramids of the Muttart Conservatory, an iconic piece of 1970s architecture. We’ll then cycle toward the Chinese Garden, a space reflecting the cultural legacy of the city’s Chinese community.
Finally, we’ll arrive at Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton’s liveliest square, surrounded by museums and vibrant public art.
After approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of cycling, we’ll return to the original meeting point to conclude the tour.
