    a good way to see sights of florence , the guide was gentle and passionate, the bike was comfortable and they gave us water , a plastic raincoat and a gelatto at the end of the tour , recomended!

Located on the south bank of the Arno River in Florence, Palazzo Pitti is one of the city’s largest and most important historic complexes. Once home to powerful ruling families, it now houses major museums and galleries.

Background and history

Palazzo Pitti was built in the 15th century for the wealthy Pitti family before becoming the main residence of the Medici dynasty. Over time, the palace was expanded into an enormous royal complex, later used by the House of Lorraine and Italy’s royal family.
