Geneva International District Bus Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the bus station at Place Dorcière, and from there we'll travel to Geneva's international district, which is only 15 minutes away.
Throughout this panoramic tour, you'll have an audio guide in English on board, which will allow you to learn about the history of the various international organisations based in Geneva. First, we'll make a brief stop to take photos in front of the broken chair, an iconic monument located in front of the Palais des Nations.
After leaving the European headquarters of the United Nations behind, we'll continue the panoramic route, admiring the buildings of other international organisations from the bus. These include the Red Cross, the World Health Organisation, the International Labour Organisation and the European Broadcasting Union.
We'll also pass by the headquarters of the World Trade Organisation and see the majestic neoclassical façade of the Musée Ariana. From there, we'll continue exploring other parts of Geneva's international district until we reach the shores of Lake Geneva.
On the shore of this lake, the largest in Switzerland, we'll observe from the vehicle the Geneva Botanical Garden, the Jardin Anglais, the famous Flower Clock, and Eaux-Vives Park. Of course, we'll also enjoy beautiful views of the iconic Jet d'Eau, the great symbol of the city.
Finally, after a tour lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes, we'll conclude the panoramic tour by returning to the meeting point.
