Take a boat trip along the southwest coast of Gran Canaria and spend an unforgettable day at the natural and paradisiacal beach of Güi Güi. The perfect place to disconnect!
Begin your half-day trip by boarding a comfortable vehicle from your hotel and heading southwest to Puerto Rico. From here, you will take a Taxi Boat and navigate into the open waters, feeling the ocean breeze on your face.
As the boat cruises in open water, look out for dolphins and whales. The most common are the bottlenose dolphins, the most familiar dolphin species. These animals are extremely social, and it is not strange to see them breach along the boat or come close to the swimmers to play and splash around.
It is also possible to see other species, like the pilot whale. The Atlantic Ocean is also home to the fin whale, the second largest animal after the blue whale. During the journey, the local guide and expert sailors will share information on the marine life of the island and curious sailing experiences.
Next, the boat will make its way to Güi Güi, a completely untouched and wild beach thanks to its ideal location, surrounded by steep cliffs that make it very difficult to get to.
Disembark at this heavenly beach and enjoy a delicious lunch including salad, sausages, cheese, tortilla de patata, bread, vegetables, fruit and chocolate. After lunch, you’ll have time to explore the beach at your own leisure. You can go snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, sunbathe on the volcanic sandy beach or go for a walk and admire the spectacular views of the waterfront. On the clear days, you can even see Mount Teide, the highest peak in Tenerife and Spain.
After a memorable time at Güi Güi, the boat will cast anchor and head back to the port of Puerto Rico. The excursion will come to an end at your hotel.
If you are staying in the south of Gran Canaria up to Bahía Feliz (San Agustín, Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas and Meloneras), we will collect you free of charge at your hotel and take you to the port.
If you are staying further away, you must make your own way to the pier, located in Puerto Base, in the leisure harbor of Puerto Rico.
