Whale Watching by Speedboat
Activity Details
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Hafnarstétt 7 in Húsavík harbour. We'll hop on a speedboat here and set off into Húsavík Bay to see some of the ocean's most fascinating and impressive inhabitants. Let's go whale watching!
During our speedboat trip, which will last 2 hours, we'll travel across the bay so we can spot the largest whales and admire how they jump out to the surface of the water. We'll also tell you lots of fun facts about these marine mammals, which inhabit northern Iceland.
Then, after between 1 and 3 hours exploring the seas, we'll bring the tour to an end.
Puffin Season
If you go on this activity from April 15 to August 15, we'll round off the experience by going to Puffin Island to admire these birds during the season.
Whale Watching
Animals are unpredictable. The amount of whales we see will depends on various factors such as ocean currents, winds, and weather conditions at the time. Arctic weather can change very quickly, which directly influences the behaviour of the animals.
Please note that the duration of the tour may vary depending on the weather conditions and the time needed to locate the whales. In any case, the activity is always carried out with the utmost respect, without invading or disturbing their natural space.
