Who were the Nabataeans? Why did they construct a Necropolis in the desert? Travel to Jordan and discover the fascinating archaeological site of Petra.

Petra Plane Trip

We will collect you from your chosen meeting point in Jerusalem at 5 am and head to Sde Dov Airport, situated in the outskirts of Tel Aviv.

After a brief 1-hour flight, we will land at Eilat Airport located in the south of Israel. From there we will take the bus to one of the most famous archaeological sites in Jordan, the ancient city of Petra.

Once we arrive, we will begin our fantastic tour around the site. An English speaking guide will accompany you to the main parts of the ruins. The most iconic sight here is the Al-Khazneh (The Treasury), carved into the rock face by the ancient Nabataeans people.

Strolling through magnificent Petra canyon, you will also encounter other important remains of the ancient desert city, such as the theatre and the royal tombs. Our professional tour guide will reveal why the Nabateans chose this location to build their city. You will also find out why the Romans conquered this remote corner of the Middle East and many other fascinating facts about the location.

When the tour is finished, we will regain our strength with a traditional lunch in the modern city of Petra. The menu includes diverse Arab specialities for you to savour.

After eating, we will start our return bus journey to Eilat Airport to catch a flight to Sde Dov Airport. From there we will take you back to your chosen meeting point in Jerusalem, arriving at around 11 pm.
