Ephesus & Sirince Excursion

  • 23 reviews | 1,005 travellers
I had an incredible experience in Ephesus today, and much of the credit goes to our guide. His knowledge, passion for history, and engaging way of sharing every detail made the visit fascinating. He explained everything clearly, answered our questions patiently, and took us to the best spots in the ancient city. If you're thinking about taking this tour, definitely do it!

Ephesus & Sirince Excursion

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kusadasi at the designated time or at the port and then travel to the coastal province of Smyrna.

The first stop of the tour will be a small town named Sirince, with only 600 inhabitants.  Once we have arrived we'll wander through the town's charming streets and discover the areas famous for oil and wine-making.

We'll continue our journey north towards Ephesus. Founded thousands of years ago, it was one of the most important cities in Ancient Greece. Today it's classed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The site is home to the Library of Celsus, one of the most famous and impressive bibliographic archives of the Roman Empire in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Our next stop will be to visit the majestic Temple of Hadrian, built by the second Hispanic emperor. Next, we'll come to the Roman Theater of Ephesus, a site that has been exceptionally well preserved in the modern age.

After the visit to Ephesus, we'll travel on to the town Selçuk, where you'll have free time to recharge your batteries and enjoy a delicious typical lunch. Before returning to Kusadasi, we'll visit the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Finally, we'll end the excursion by returning back to your hotel between 4 and 4:30 pm.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in Kusadasi between 8:15 and 8:30 am. If you prefer, you can also arrange to be picked up from Kusadasi port at 9 am.
