Food Tour
We'll start by passing by the main attractions in Lecce, such as Porta Napoli, the Basilica of Santa Croce, the Theatre, the Amphitheatre, and the Duomo Square, until we reach the heart of the city.
We'll enter a traditional bakery, where we'll discover how Salento delicacies such as puccia or frisa are made, and then we'll visit a wine cellar where we'll taste some of the characteristic wines of the Apulia region.
Next, we'll go to an artisan pastry shop, where we'll have the opportunity to taste the pasticcioto leccese, a pastry filled with cream. A real treat!
To finish on a high note, we'll head to a local café, where we'll say goodbye with an Italian espresso.
Wine Tour
Ready to explore Lecce's best wineries on a tuk tuk? We'll start the tour by entering the historic centre, where we'll immerse ourselves in the tradition of Salento wine and its culture among the typical southern Italian narrow streets.
There, we'll visit the wine cellars where we'll taste the Negroamaro, Primitivo and Susumaniello wines, which are produced in the oldest wine-growing areas of Salento. While we're enveloped in the notes of these wines, we can admire the historical and cultural heritage of Lecce, a city known as the "Florence of the South" for its Baroque architecture.
We'll see the Porta Napoli and the Basilica of Santa Croce, famous for its façade adorned with details dating back to the 16th century. As we move from winery to winery, we'll leave behind the Roman ruins of the theatre and amphitheatre, monuments that bear witness to Lecce's flourishing past.
Finally, we'll bring the experience to an end at the Piazza del Duomo, an architectural treasure of the city.
