While a fan will enjoy the emotional connection with the characters and the story, someone unfamiliar with the Harry Potter universe will be able to appreciate the visit from the perspective of cinema and production. The studios are a real lesson in how a film is made, showcasing the enormous amount of work that goes into production design, costumes, special effects, animatronics and models.

-
Q - What distinguishes the Harry Potter studios from a theme park?

-
Q - Is it possible to visit the gift shop without having a ticket to the studios?
A - No, the Studio Shop is located at the end of the tour and can only be accessed with a valid ticket for the entire tour. In fact, visiting the shop is considered the last part of the experience.
-
Q - What clothes and shoes should we wear?
A - Comfortable footwear is recommended, as the visit involves a lot of walking. As for clothing, we recommend dressing in layers and bringing a light jacket or raincoat, as you'll have to walk from the bus stop to the studios and the weather can be unpredictable.
-
Q - Can food and drink be brought into the venue?
A - Yes, you can bring food and drink into the studios, but you cannot eat or drink while touring the sets and exhibitions. -
Q - What is butterbeer?
A - Butterbeer is a sweet, frothy drink that is very popular in the world of Harry Potter. Although its name suggests otherwise, it does not contain alcohol, making it suitable for all ages. Its flavour is similar to caramel or toffee with a hint of butter, and it's served with a thick, creamy foam on top that gives it its characteristic appearance.
-
Q - How much free time will I have to shop in the gift shops and try the butter beer?
A - The self-guided tour usually lasts between 3 and 4 hours, and during that time you'll have time to try the butter beer and do some shopping, as the tour is self-guided. You can spend the time as you please!
-
Q - How can I get to the meeting point in central London?
A - How you get to the meeting point depends on which one you selected when you made your booking. These include Victoria Station, Baker Street, King's Cross, Vauxhall Bridge Road, and the Royal National Hotel. To get to any of these points, it is always advisable to use London's public transport (underground or buses). Use apps such as Google Maps or Citymapper to get the most accurate routes and timetables from your location. Also, remember to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 to 20 minutes before departure to avoid any setbacks.
-
Q - Are there cloakrooms or lockers for storing rucksacks, coats or purchases made in the shop?
A - Yes, the studios offer a free cloakroom service near the entrance so that you can leave your coats, bags and suitcases during your visit.
-

A - Photography and video recording with portable cameras and mobile devices are permitted throughout the visit, except in the security check area, the pre-visit cinema, and the green screen areas. Please note that recording with tripods or other professional photographic equipment is not permitted.
-
Q - Does the return bus wait at a specific point? What happens if you arrive late at the meeting point to return to London?
A - The coaches will be waiting at the point where you were dropped off on arrival, a 3-minute walk from the studios, although we'll let you know where we'll meet for the return journey to London. If you miss the coach, you'll need to arrange your own transport back to London.
-

A - We cannot guarantee that the bus will be themed, especially during peak season.
